This week at Zion we had our very own faculty speak on ethical issues. We started the week speaking on truth, then integrity, character and tolerance. We finished the series today with a panel discussion. I had the opportunity to be the moderator for this panel. What a job this was! I mean, you try keeping teachers/preachers on time! It was fun.
As I reflect on the week, I remember one of the points Rev. Don Maranville said. He said that King David conquered the lion, the bear, and Goliath, but he could not conquer David. He saw injustice and bad character in others and took action, but was unable to take care of himself. This was powerful!
Today is February 13th, the day before Valentines Day. In Manhattan, the 13th of February is known as "Valenswine Day." This is the day that New Yorkers take their mistresses out to eat and on the 14th they take their spouse out to eat. Sick!
